Lynda Larsen

Phenomenal Women's Awards

Lynda is a native Californian, born and raised in Sunnyvale. She has been volunteering with Building Peaceful Families since 2017 before becoming an official board member in May of 2019. She was overcome with gratitude when she received the Phenomenal Women Award in 2016, which inspired her to learn more about how she could give back to the community.

Currently, Lynda is co-chair of the Phenomenal Women Committee. She believes that by acknowledging women for their incredible resiliency and commitment to make a difference, it creates a better world for everyone!

As a volunteer, Lynda has worked with Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, the Alzheimer's Association (annual Walk To End Alzheimer's), City Team Ministries, Alano Club of San Jose, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Life Moves. She was also the co-leader of the Children's Elementary Program at Church on the Hill (San Jose) for three years.

In her professional life, Lynda works on the University Relations Team at Veritas as the Intern Program Lead. In her spare time, Lynda enjoys attending outdoor music events, dancing, and spending time with her kids and Grandies. Lynda has lots of energy and enthusiasm and considers her "glass-half-full" all the time!
