Red Power Divas
In 2018, Lucie joined the Building Peaceful Families Board as a member of the Marketing Communications team. In that capacity, she and her husband Raymond Nacorda are responsible for social media, website, and newsletters for the Red Power Divas, the largest program under Building Peaceful Families.
Lucie moved to San Jose from her hometown of Fresno in 1997. Shortly after relocating to the Bay Area, Lucie joined Kaiser Permanente. In her 19-year career with Kaiser, she has advanced from temp to supervisor as a result of her proactive approach to developing and implementing programs and processes that improve the patient experience.
After reading the 2014 article in Runner's World about Sharon Chatman and the Red Power Divas, Lucie and Raymond joined RPD in 2015. The following year they were invited to become program coaches and at the end of the season, they were co-recipients of the RPD Silver Award. In 2018, Lucie and Raymond led the Red Rocks! Core/Strength training series.
In addition to volunteering with the Red Power Divas, Lucie has also participated in events with Second Harvest.
With the support of RPD teammates and her husband, in 2015 Lucie became a member of the Half Fanatics Club after completing 3 half marathons in 90 days. In 2018, she leveled up after completing 8 more half marathons within 365 days. In her spare time, Lucie enjoys exploring new fitness challenges such as kayaking and kickboxing.
