Hazel Valera currently holds the position as the Director of Men's Programs with Building Peaceful Families . Her responsibilities include the implementation and planning of the annual Top Dad's Awards Brunch, a countywide event that recognizes and honors fathers and father figures who have demonstrated dedication and sacrifice for their family and community.
As a passionate advocate for helping challenged families, Hazel also holds a position as the Executive Program Director for the Santa Clara County Fatherhood Collaborative (SCCFC), an entity comprising more than 42 nonprofit agencies and service providers that assist and support the stability of fathers and their families.
Hazel's expertise is in the complex world of credentials -particularly consumer records, credit reports and credit scoring. Her expertise in databases and credentials allows her to assist in understanding many complex systems. Some of those systems include public records, private investigation, background screening and online reputation management.
Professionally, Hazel manages and operates Clear Credit Exchange, a credit consulting firm that assists potential home owners, realtors and small business owners in managing their personal and corporate credit profiles.
In 2014, Hazel received the Presidents Lifetime Achievement Award from President Obama. This is one of the highest honors awarded in the Points of Light Program. It recognizes individuals who have volunteered over 4000 hours of documented service in a lifetime.
