Julie Posadas Guzman
Chairperson
Building Peaceful Families

Julie Posadas Guzman joined the Building Peaceful Families board in 2018 as the Director of Fund Development and in 2021 was elected Chairperson of BPF.  She currently serves as the Evidence Based Practices Program Manager for the Santa Clara County Probation Department and started volunteering with BPF’s Fatherhood Conference in 2017.  Before moving to Santa Clara County in 2011, Julie was the Director of Girls Services for the San Francisco Juvenile Probation Department and a Victim Advocate with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.  Her current work in Santa Clara County includes leading an innovative partnership between Probation, the Office of Reentry, the Office of Women’s Policy and the Department of Corrections to create a system and service response model for justice-involved women.  She has over 20 years of experience working with government agencies, non-profits and community partners to promote social justice and equity.

Julie holds a Juris Doctorate from New College of California School of Law and degrees in Sociology and Speech Communications from San Francisco State University.
